The title of this blog might lead you to believe that it's about gardening. It's not. My pumpkins don't grow in the ground. My pumpkins are my two little boys, sown in love and raised with a good deal of humor and an enormous amount of patience.
All I ever wanted to be was a mom.
When other little girls were dreaming about being doctors, lawyers and teachers, I had visions of well-behaved children dancing in my head. I wanted four boys. I'd bake chocolate chip cookies for them (from scratch!) and we'd take great vacations (the beach! the Grand Canyon!) and we'd be a great big happy family. It didn't quite turn out that way.
But then life rarely works out the way we plan it. It's in the unplanned experiences that we learn and grow the most. And boy did I learn. And I hope to share some of those lessons and experiences with you.
Happy Raising.
